Product information for pharmacy markets in nine countries, available through our API for your software, application, webshop or app.
You retrieve product data in a structured format and decide how to process and display it. This lets you include product information in the systems you build and manage.

Depending on the product and your organisation's access, you can work with:
EAN and GTIN codes and each country's own product codes, such as the CNK in Belgium, CIP and ACL codes in France, the PZN in Germany and the ARTG ID in Australia, plus product status and any replacement products.
Composition, pharmaceutical form, route of administration, packaging, pack contents, storage and dimensions.
Medipim and ATC categories and national classifications, active ingredients, brands, laboratories and product families.
Product descriptions, use, composition, properties, warnings and other description types. Content may vary by language and audience.
Packshots, cut-out product images, pill photos, package leaflets and other media.
For example, indicative public prices, manufacturer or pharmacy prices and reimbursement information, where available.
The exact fields vary by product and account. You can use the API to check which fields are available to your account.
Search for products using identification codes and filters to select the right products for your application. For example, you can retrieve products by brand or category, search by active ingredient, or process only products for which certain information is available.
The data is structured by language and audience. This lets you select the information that suits the application and its users. Each country has its own API, in the languages of that market: the Belgian API, for example, supports Dutch, French, English and German.
Use Medipim product data to:
The API supports filtered searches and pagination, as well as retrieval of larger datasets. You can also process updated products without retrieving your entire catalogue again each time.
Depending on your account permissions, you can also use the API to add and update product descriptions or media, or report a correction. This allows feedback from your application to flow back to Medipim.
Start with the API documentation for your country. It describes the available endpoints and technical requirements. Want to review the data first or discuss your integration? Request a demo and quote.
No. You can retrieve the data through the API and display it in your own application, or use Medipim's ready-made product pages. The API provides two links for each product. You can show the public product page to consumers, for example in a webshop, app or on a screen. The product page for pharmacists can be opened in pharmacy software. This requires less development work. The API documentation explains how to embed these pages.
If you are building a webshop or app for a pharmacy, you will receive an API key once your customer takes out a suitable subscription and approves the quote and terms and conditions. Your customer must be a healthcare professional. If you want to make Medipim available to all the pharmacies using your software, we will agree a partnership.
The technical documentation is public. A limited test account in your customer's name also gives you access to the platform. This lets you see what information is available and how the API is structured. API data access is provided only after the subscription.
Select products by brand, manufacturer or category rather than by product code. New products will then be included automatically. For example, if a pharmacy selects the Avène brand, new Avène products will appear without any extra work.
Medipim imports new images and product information every day. Once a change from our sources has been imported, it is available on the platform and through the API.
The available fields depend on the country, the product and the national data sources. Consult the API documentation for your country for the current structure.
Yes. Medipim has comprehensive API documentation for each country. Choose your country under Country and language to find the link to its documentation at the top of the website.
