How it works
Medipim maintains a product database for the pharmacy market. We bring information from different sources together and create a usable record for each product. Pharmacies, software companies and webshops can display and process the data in the applications they use.

One product. Reliable information. Ready for every digital application.
We bring fragmented information from different sources together in one central place for each product.
Manufacturers and brands Laboratories and manufacturers provide data, images and documents.
Wholesalers Provide information about the products they distribute.
Databases Official sources supplement medicinal product data.
Pharmacists Use the feedback button to report missing or incorrect information.
Medipim creates one complete product page for each product, tailored to the market and product type.
Collect Data, images and documents come together in one page. We photograph anything that is missing.
Check We verify the data against the packaging and other sources.
Enrich We assign categories and add descriptions, packshots and package leaflets.
Update Imports run daily, so new products and changes appear on the product page quickly.
The platform, the API and the many software packages that Medipim is integrated into make the product page available to healthcare professionals and consumers.

It displays what a patient or customer needs: name, brand, description, indications, use, composition and storage. It also shows reference codes such as CNK and EAN, categories, descriptions for different audiences, packaging information, indicative prices and alternative products, and lets you report a correction directly.
Yes. The Belgian API documentation shows the structure and fields behind the product pages.
Yes. Medipim prepares product information for the Belgian pharmacy market. The products and fields available depend on the information available for each product.
Every day. Medipim imports new images and product information daily. Once a change from our sources has been imported, it is available on the platform and through the API.
As soon as we know that packaging has changed, we arrange for new images to be taken. Medipim photographs products in weekly cycles: we tell you which products we need, they are picked and then photographed. If the product is in stock at Febelco, where one of our photo studios is located, the new photo is usually online within a week. Otherwise, we request images from the manufacturer.

Manufacturers submit their product information once. Medipim checks and processes it, so pharmacies, wholesalers, online shops and software providers can immediately work with usable data. No one has to look up, photograph, enter or correct the same information over and over again. That saves time across the entire supply chain.
